Many young investors, when they learn that I am pursuing a Ph.D on stock market, are very keen to seek advice on investment options, stock market, commodity market and forex market. Youngsters are particularly looking for higher returns in the short term. My advice to young investors would be that before they start investing in any instrument such as the stock market or commodity, they should do some research on the history of their insights. Start with the habit of a short savings for 90 days so that this discipline becomes a habit and you are now ready to become an investor for the long term. Start early to get a long horizon and cover all your risks.
