Lockdown has resulted in miseries for a lot of people, however, there are some positive takeaways from the entire episode of COVID 19. The market with its restrictions allows the availability of only essential commodities. We really empathize with the problems faced by daily wagers however salaried people have felt it like a blessing in disguise. There is no unnecessary expense happening and therefore there is a considerable amount of savings nowadays. People are not indulged in impulsive shopping which leads to unnecessary expenses. An average middle-class family used to spend Rs 3000 to Rs 4000 on weekends, and because of lockdown it’s all savings now. The money saved should be productively used in making further savings or for the act of charity for the needy ones who really need us. We truly acknowledge the need of the time and we are really blessed that we have shelter to live, clothes to cover our skin and food to satisfy our hunger but at the same time, there is a huge population outside that needs support. The support can be in the form of cash of kind. Stray animals who were at mercy of common people are also facing tough times. So, it’s not only humans who need helps but also stray animals. The mercury is rising and so are the problems of common people and animals. Helping others gives a different kind of satisfaction and reason for us to exist in this materialistic world.
