In an interesting turn of events, the Indian National Congress (INC) has taken the stand that on coming to power, the INC will restore the full statehood of Jammu and Kashmir by restoring to pre 5th August, 2019 position. It implies that the INC, on coming to power, will restore Article 370 and Article 35-A which was repealed by the current National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government. This stand was taken by the Congress to ensure that job remains to local residents and to preserve the cultural heritage of Jammu and Kashmir.
