The four-day session on ‘I AM a CMO’ by Ms. Sevantika Bhandari started today at Unitedworld School of Business, Karnavati University for the students of PGDM (Sem-III). Sevantika Bhandari is an esteemed brand & marketing consultant and former Chief Marketing Officer for DHFL, Max Bupa, and ICICI Bank- International Banking. She has worked in the areas of digital marketing, public relations, product strategy and brand building across locations in India and abroad. She believes that consumers and consumer insights are at the core of everything a brand and business stand for.
Mr. Jaideep Banerjee, Director – Outreach Program & Placement Cell, Karnavati University, started the session by delivering an encouraging and informative speech. He emphasized the nuances of marketing in the business by quoting wonderful examples of Titan, Tanishq, Hindustan Ambassador and so on. Mr. Banerjee inspired the students with his motivating words and wished them luck in their future endeavours.
The primary focus of the session was on Segmenting, Targeting & Positioning (STP) used in various businesses and everything was explained with plenty of examples. A case study was discussed and students are supposed to give their insight in the form of group presentation in the next class.
Overall, it was a very exciting and knowledgeable session that introduced and helped the students in understanding the concept of STP and its usefulness in Business.
