“Taiyaari Jeet Ki” week (19th-24th August 2019) is dedicated for the preparation of the gruelling placement process consisting of Campus to Corporate. The entire program is designed and conducted under the aegis of CDC Career Development Cell, UWSB with an aim to bridge the gap between Academics and Industry and to equip students with the necessary skills to help them excel in their respective fields.
First Day (19th August 2019) of Taiyaari Jeet Ki embarked its journey with FPP Guidelines (Final Placement Process) session by Mr. Amar Gandhi (Senior Manager-Corporate Relations), presided by Mr. Sanjeev Jain ( Director, UWSB). Through the presentation, students became aware of the policies and opportunities. Students also appeared for the aptitude test to understand the nuances of verbal and quantitative traits in the latter half of the day’s session.
On the 2nd day of the ‘Taiyaari Jeet Ki’, the students of PGDM (semester-3) witnessed an outstanding learning experience. Students appeared for the Psychometric Test that helped them to understand their potential skill sets and suitability to a particular field. Psychometric tests are often used as part of the recruitment process and are a way for employers to assess candidates’ intelligence, skills, and personality. Recruiters use the results from these tests to determine whether a candidate would be a suitable match for the company to which they are applying.
As a part of “Taiyari Jeet ki” Program, Psychometric session was conducted by Prof. Bhupinder Arora and presided by Mr. Sanjeev Jain (Director-UWSB). This test has come at a crucial juncture wherein it will help students in making life-changing decisions in connection to their employment. Taiyaari Jeet Ki (19th-23rd August 2019) is a simulation exercise conducted under the aegis of CDC- Career Development Cell, UWSB.
Taiyaari Jeet Ki, Day 3, had an insightful session on Group Discussion in the placement process. The techniques taught during the session will be highly efficient to gauge the basic traits of the students. GD plays a vital role in enabling the recruiters to identify skills and these skills can be probed effectively.
The session covered significance, do’s and don’ts, role-playing, probable GD topics and evaluation parameters which further improved their understanding about Group Discussion. The session was covered by Prof Vikrant Jain and presided by Mr. Sanjeev Jain (Director-Academics, UWSB). Taiyaari Jeet Ki, (19th -23rd August 2019) is an initiative by the CDC-Career Development Cell, which covers all the eminent steps of the placement process.
Taiyaari Jeet Ki, Day 4, started with a session on Grooming for Personal Interview by Prof. Kunj Ganatra presided by Mr. Sanjeev Jain (Director-UWSB). The session covered several vital aspects regarding the choice of colours, clarity about formal and informal attire for men and women, dressing for executives and leaders and the importance of the first impression.
The session was followed by the Personal Interview for Marketing specialization students whereas Finance and H.R. students appeared for the Domain Knowledge Test. The entire program is customized as per the needs of the modern-day corporate. Taiyaari Jeet Ki (19th -23rd August 2019)is a unique program, under the aegis of CDC Career Development Cell, committed to making PGDM semester 3 students placement-ready.
Taiyaari Jeet Ki”, Day 5, was dedicated to the one on one P.I. – Personal Interview for Finance and H.R. Specialization students while Marketing Specialization students appeared for Domain Knowledge Test. P.I. is one of the most important components of the selection process in an organization and is usually kept at the last in the process. The focus of the interview was to test Domain Knowledge and its application in the real world. P.I. is a way to gauge the candidate both as a person and future professional. Our eminent faculty members (Dr. Gurmeet Singh and Dr. Himanshu Barot) from the Finance domain were roped in for the interview process.
This program carries a lot of relevance as it comes at this important juncture when top brands have started pouring in with employment opportunities from myriad industries at UWSB – United World School of Business. “Taiyaari Jeet Ki” (19th -23rd August 2019) is a (PPPP) Personalized Pre-Placement Preparation Program headed by CDC- Career Development Centre for final year PG- Post Graduate students.
