Unitedworld School of Business (UWSB), Kolkata formally inducted the 11th Summer Batch of students on July 9, 2019. The day began with a pleasant rendition of Rabindrasangeet before the formal speeches by the faculty and eminent personalities from the city’s business circle. Prof.
Dr. Amitava Ghosh, Dean of Academic Affairs, Kolkata Campus, congratulated the students for choosing to join UWSB. UWSB grooms students to develop thinking minds, take decisions and be ready to face the big, bad world outside, he said.
Prof. Tridibesh Bandopadhyay, Founder Director and Mentor of UWSB, explained how the students should prepare themselves to face the challenges of the corporate world by gathering as much knowledge and skills as that they can in the relevant areas.
Mr. Jayanta Roy Chowdhuri, Sr. Vice President, Emami Agrotech Ltd., described the infrastructure, logistics and renewable energy industries that he felt will drive the economy in the future. He emphasized that, since for most students, these two years at UWSB would be their last years of formal education, they should get the best out of the eminent faculty.
Mr. Mudassar Hossain, Managing Partner, Ogilvy India, too, gave a very motivating speech citing how various stages of education can join the dots in one’s life journey.
Two former students of UWSB, Adarsh Mohata and Simran Bhansali, urged the fresh students to take part in all the activities that are held on campus as this will open up a plethora of learning opportunities for them.
