Unitedworld School of Law, an institute of excellence, inspiring value-based education, research and development, conducted an elaborate Orientation programme for the newly inducted batch of 2019-2024 on 29th July 2019. The programme was started with Lighting of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana in the presence of all the esteemed guests and dignitaries.
Dr. Nachiketa Mittal, Dean (I/C), UWSL, welcomed the new students and mentioned that they should channelize their energy in a productive way by participating in various societies like Debating Society, Legal Aid Centre, Moot Court Society, Youth Parliament Society, Cultural Society and Sports Society that are functioning efficiently in college.
Shri Jaideep Banerjee, Director – Outreach Programs & Placement Cell (Karnavati University), in his address, motivated the students to be updated with the technologies and frame a short term and long term goal. He motivated the students to develop the skill of socializing and selling their talents which is very vital for a budding lawyer. He stressed on the fact that networking, learning, 360-degree overview and relationship management are of prime importance in life.
Mr. Tariq Ali Saiyed, Registrar, Karnavati University, congratulated the students for enrolling into Law Programme of Karnavati University. He inspired the students to be like a flame of fire that always goes upwards. He stressed on the fact that the induction programme is for familiarizing students with the institute and university.

In the latter half of the day, Cultural Programme activity took place and it was coordinated by Prof. Nishtha Agrawal and the 2nd year and 3rd Year students performed to welcome all the 1st year students. They played a lot of games and interacted with the new students.
The second day of the UWSL’s Induction Programme had a special session on ‘Internships and Placement’. It was conducted by Mr. Aditya Prakash Rao, Partner, PLR Chambers, New Delhi. UWSL is perhaps one of the few law schools in the country which organized a special session on internship and placements by inviting potential recruiter and a law firm partner. Over a period of 3 days induction programme, we conducted special sessions on four specialization areas of Business Law, Intellectual Property Law, Criminal Law and International Law.
A session on International law was taken by Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar Sinha, Director of Indian Law Institute, New Delhi, who is a well-acclaimed professor of international in the country. A Session on criminal law, business law and Intellectual Property law were conducted by in house expert faculty.
As part of zero tolerance to ragging, we had an exclusive session on student discipline. Moot courts and library are the lifelines of a law school. Hence, UWSL conducted exclusive sessions on the Moot court competitions that are available to the law students and also a library orientation so that students can effectively use the physical as well as online library resources.
The induction programme concluded with a cultural programme to welcome the batch of 2019-2024 in law school.
