Culture and Environment -Know Your City

Culture and Environment, Product Design Post-Graduation Semester 01 students have visited the heritage sites and museums at Ahmedabad to understand the larger context of culture influencing factors -city planning, architecture, food, costumes, socio-economic groups.

Heritage sites lend a sense of belonging, emotional connect and economic resources to the people. Belief – system and social behaviour is largely influenced by the culture of the local people .

Students had immersive understanding of interwoven aspects of cultural identity, trade and occupations.

Visit to Vishalla Museum,Tribal Museum and Shreyas Foundation have contributed to deeper context to the functional aspects of aesthetics and indigenous design in Gujrat .
