Guest Lecture on Carbon Footprint and Community based Project Development

On the 29^th of March 2023, UWSB organised a guest lecture on “Introduction to Carbon Footprint & Community Based Project Development”. It was attended by the students from Semester VI. The resource person was Mr Paras Shah. Mr Shah talked about how carbon emissions have a significant impact on the environment, leading to climate change, which poses a significant threat to our planet. In response to this issue, he introduced the students to the concept of carbon credits and talked about his solution to the issues faced by the rural population. Mr Shah presented a stove in front of the class which solves the emission issues in rural areas and he even talked about how the United Nations, Paris Agreement, COP27 and Kyoto Protocol. The event was successful and the students learnt and interacted a lot with Mr Shah regarding various issues pertaining to the Rural Areas in India.
