Industrial visit to Prato by Green House Studio

On the 28th of August, 2023 students of Semester 3, Bachelors and Masters, Interior Design Department visited Prata by Green House studio a hub of innovation in modular kitchens and wardrobes.

Mr. Raag Shah spoke about the importance of meticulous kitchen planning. He emphasized the concept of a “working triangle” comprising the sink, fridge, and cooking stove, which forms the core of an efficient kitchen layout. His insights into drawer mechanisms and the selection of materials for kitchen construction were invaluable, providing us with a newfound appreciation for the complexities of kitchen design.

One of the most striking takeaways from the visit was dispelling the misconception that modular furniture cannot be customized. The level of customization in modular furniture depends on a harmonious collaboration between the designer and the manufacturing company, effectively debunking the myth that modular equates to rigidity.
