celebrated #MODUS, a design event by the Departments of Visual
Communication and Animation & Motion Graphics on 8th October. It
was the day to showcase how the students transformed their
avant-garde and out of the box ideas into reality with their creative
bent and hard toil. The projects that the students worked on were
spectacular, the sheer grandeur of the installations that were used
to adorn the classes was awe-inspiring, and the visitors were
mesmerized by the fact that all these were done by the students. The
event started with Lamp lighting at the inauguration ceremony in the
morning in the presence of Tara Douglas, a famous animation
filmmaker, Inahita Singh, Senior Manager Design and Marketing at
FABINDIA, Mr. Amardeep Behl, renowned museum and exhibition designer,
the Directors of UID, Head of Visual Communication Dept. along with
other faculty members and students of the department. In the latter
half of the day, Three distinguished designers, who are the bigwigs
of their fields, spoke on three interesting topics that are currently
in trend i.e. #ExhibitionDesign, #GraphicsDesign and #Animation. The
interactive discussion provided the students an opportunity to
discover new perspectives on design thinking.
