As one of the leading design schools, we, at Unitedworld Institute of Design, Karnavati University,  offer a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses that offer immense exposure which is unmatched by any other design college in the country. Students have the opportunity to choose from a host of different disciplines applicable to their area of interest.   If you wish to apply for UID admission 2022-23, here are some frequently asked questions and their answers that you will find helpful:   Question 1: What are the eligibility criteria for undergraduate and postgraduate design courses? For B. Design, students need to be class 12 pass/appearing with a minimum 50% from a recognized higher secondary school board. For M. Design, students need to have a bachelor’s degree (pass or appearing) (any stream), with minimum 50% from any recognized university.   Question 2: Is there any entrance exam? Yes, there is an entrance exam. The UID Ahmedabad entrance exam consists of a two tier evaluation process. To make it to UID, students need to clear UID Design Aptitude Test (DAT).  DAT comprises general IQ test, analytical test, and creative ability test. Here is a DAT sample paper that will give you an idea what kind of questions are asked. Students who clear the DAT are called for a Situation Test (ST) and Portfolio Evaluation (PE).  The second round of test is done to evaluate students on the basis of how well they are able to handle and create end-products using different materials.   Question 3: Where can students check the result of the UID entrance exam? The results of the UID entrance exams are updated on the official website of the design school.   Question 4: Why should students pursue a design course from UID? UID is among the top design institutes in India. We have state-of-the-art labs that support the vocational and practical learning that design courses need. We have Wacom digital lab, clay modeling lab, audio and video editing center, textile lab, product design lab, and printing and dye lab. Yes, B.Des and M.Des programmes have internship programs that give students an opportunity to work under industry experts and learn in a real-world environment. Not just that, all our design programmes culminate with a graduation project. A graduation project can instantly boost a resume as it allows prospective employers to understand the skills students have developed during their course.   Question 6: What are the placement records of UID?
