WACE Program

International Relations Committee at UWSL (Priyanka Taktawala, Convener)

The students of Unitedworld School of Law, Karnavati University got a great opportunity to work as business consultants on real world projects. This program offers project involving the Help division, which primarily works towards achieving the SDG goals of the company, by accessing the demography of the company’s country and coming up with the solutions and recommendations, to meet the SDG goals. Students were grouped considering cultural diversifications. They had students from Australia, UK, Canada, Sri Lanka as a part of their group. They were given the task of researching global NGOs with the objective to implement the free online toolkit in countries where it would be most feasible, but also most beneficial. They had to relate the objectives to the United Nations sustainable development goals, and to ensure they were adhering to at least one of the 17 goals. This program provided the students the opportunity to apply their knowledge towards the task and helped them enhance their global skills. They learnt to work effectively in a team and solve problems to provide best service to the client. Also working with an international team was challenging as well as it was a great experience. The program provided them with the opportunity to interact and learn directly from industry professionals, whilst allowing them to take such knowledge and apply it to a real-life consultancy project.
