Fabrics are the most important aspect of Fashion Design. In order to impart knowledge of the essential aspects of various kinds of fabrics, the students of the School of Fashion Design (Semester 3) were taken on a day visit to a leading manufacturer and retailer of fashion fabrics i.e. F-Studio. Feel, fall, texture, fibres, yarns, weaving & processing of different types of fabric and their cost was introduced to the students live in a fabric store environment.
The fabric study visit was organised and conducted by Associate Professor Manish Patel. Some of the fabric experts in the store enriched our students by sharing their expertise. The idea was to make students well versed in fabrics, once they are familiar with fabrics they would be at an advantageous position to explore fresh designs of fashionable garments.
