Webinar on Hypnosis

An enriching session organized by Dr PreetiNakhat helped the USLM semester 4,6 and 8 liberal arts students understand the power and techniques of hypnosis by a well-established hypnotherapist, Dr Amita Puri. In a webinar that took place on the 12th April 2022, Dr Amita introduced various aspects of hypnosis and gave her unique outlook on the same. She was kind enough to share her real-life case studies of her clients with the students for a more comprehensive understanding. Hypnosis has always been portrayed falsely by the Indian media as there are various myths surrounding this wide topic of psychotherapy. Dr Amita talked about the distinction between these movies and reality in stark detail which cleared up misunderstandings regarding this. The webinar was not only a positive-educational session, but it also helped everyone understand themselves a bit more, which is of absolute importance in these times.
