The world around is struggling to keep up with the ever growing pace. Being fast is considered to be one of the major mantras to come first. But are people happy that way? Do they get the time to look at their lives and think if this is what can make them happy? If not, then why do people run? Is it not necessary to stop for a while, take a deep breath and think again?
A group of nine poets from France recently toured India. They call themselves ‘whisperers’. To the world they are known by the name of their group— Les Souffleurs Commandos Poetiques. They don’t read out their poems loudly, neither do they perform on a stage. They just compose poems on ‘pace’ and whisper those in the ears of the passersby. This is how they have crafted a movement to urge people to stop for a while and take time off to think for seconds. They believe, the world can be a far better place if our paces are slower. If we stop running, then only we can start caring again!
