UID Karnavati University hosted an enchanting exhibit titled ‘Goan Treasures – Crafts from the Heartland,’ showcasing Goa’s vibrant artistic legacy. Divided into four sections, the display celebrated coconut shell carving, bamboo weaving, terracotta pottery, and seashell artistry. Coconut shell carvings evoked the coastal charm with delicate jewelry and functional utensils adorned with traditional motifs. Bamboo weaving displayed the strength and flexibility of the material through skillfully crafted baskets and furniture. Terracotta pottery exuded warmth with intricately carved lamps and statues, reflecting timeless appeal. Seashell creations shimmered with the iridescence of the sea, showcasing boundless creativity. Beyond aesthetics, the exhibit facilitated interactive sessions with Goan artisans, fostering a deeper understanding of the region’s heritage and artistic traditions.
