The 70 students of Semester 3 UG of School of Fashion Design, accompanied by Associate Professor Manish Patel and Assistant Professor Meenakshi, recently visited Kullu & Manali in Himachal Pradesh to study Woolen Textiles and Crafts like Pattu Weaving, Kullu Shawl Weaving, Himachali Cap Making, Wool Knitting etc. They also visited Museums and Markets of Manali and also documented lifestyle, tradition and culture of the Himachali People. A special Pattu (Himachali Costume) Draping Session was organised for the benefit of the fashion students. The students will now very soon put up an exhibition and presentation of these documented crafts. Students had a great time in the snow-peaked mountains doing other various activities like Trekking, River Rafting and Camping.
