Duration: The B.Sc. Ophthalmic Technology program is a 3-year undergraduate course, structured into six semesters. This program aims to develop proficient professionals in the field of eye care and vision technology.
About the Course: The B.Sc. Ophthalmic Technology course is designed to provide comprehensive education and training in the field of ophthalmology. Students will learn about various aspects of eye care, including the diagnosis, treatment, and management of eye disorders. The curriculum covers a wide range of subjects such as ocular anatomy, physiology, optics, ocular diseases, clinical refraction, and contact lens fitting.
Students will also participate in practical training and internships in hospitals, eye clinics, and vision care centers to gain real-world experience and enhance their clinical skills.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed 10+2 (or equivalent) with Science stream, including subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from a recognized board.
Minimum Marks: A minimum aggregate score of 50% in the qualifying examination.
