When are the dead really dead?
Is it when their bodies turn into nothing but burnt bones and ashes,
Should I believe in something as cliché as they are only dead when we forget them,
Or should I believe in the folklore of souls and spirits told by old sages?
I think the dead die when they stop living.
When they stop trying.
When the day passes by,
And with each passing day nothing but a wilting candle is burnt up until the day it burns no more.
When the reason you cease to exist is eat, drink and sleep.
When the concept of time is just something to pass by.
Your body deteriorates in front of your eyes.
But alas, your eyes are already too blind to see it happen.
When thy own body denies all earthly pleasures.
That’s when oneself dies,
When one stops living.
