Exactly a decade ago I was a college student and I remember how my classmates and I used to loathe the even semester (Jan- April) ; this being the shorter semester it was more like taking part in a marathon to finish the same number of tasks and smaller goals as that in the odd semester. What proved to be a full proof method to win over the marathon without being stressed was religiously following the ultimate idea of four quadrants of time management. The one that has been preached by great corporate guru’s such as Sarvesh Gulati to Stephen Covey. To begin with, make a list of tasks you need to do for an entire week, put them under four
These can be sending a mail, completing an assignment, checking your friend’s holiday pics on social media, going shopping, attending a networking event, doing some extra research work and so on. See what fits in which quadrant and prioritize accordingly. Do not add in anything before the week ends, do not let any task shift to next week. This will not only help you stay disciplined but also help you work swiftly. Make a new one another week over a cuppa facorite coffee and feel the WIN.
