Anti-Human Architectural Designs

May 22, 2020

I don’t understand where the world is progressing and what is our goal that we look forward to achieve? New words and terminologies resemble our evolving nature and anti-human architectural design is one word for the current time.

What happens when you have an architect that has just studied architecture and has not read anything else relating to human life? Tadaaa! You get anti-human architectural designs. This is the reason that the upcoming architects in training should be exposed to humanities and social sciences, they should be encouraged to read poetry and novels.

The idea of having a pigeon or rat proof architecture is still palatable but who makes anti-human architecture designs! What they actually mean by anti-human architectural design is actually anti-homeless human architectural design.

In modern societies today the buildings and the structures are created in such a way that the vacant space in the structures cannot be used by people to sit or rest. The fly-over bridges in the cities have ample space under them to provide space for car parking and commercial shops but many of them are left vacant with barbed wires around resulting into closing down of the vacant space. In some places the buildings use spikes on the floor to avoid people from standing in that space or disallowing homeless to sleep in the night in such spaces. All this is done on the pretense that if people stand or sleep in such spaces it damages the aesthetic beauty of the building or the structure. All such architectural designs are conspired to the disadvantage of the poor and non-poor people and in turn become anti-human. These kinds of designs promote disharmony and disaffection among people across different societies.
