Impact of Pandemic on Textile Industry and how can we contribute?

June 22, 2020

Since, the whole world is going through the unimaginable situation because of COVID-19 outbreak, the economic status is also shaken down, bringing out the worst downfall of Textile Industry.

The demand of Textile products globally has come to a halt due to this pandemic. The factories, mills, supply of the yarns and fabrics, all sorts of textile related companies are closed, with no hints of reopening them.

The mill workers now reside beside the factories due to the lockdown. Some of them are migrants from Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh and many other states. In fact, after the end of the lockdown period, workers might be leaving back for their home, or wouldn’t want to work instantly, leading to a huge gap in the textile manufacturing.

The industries and mills will take a longer duration to return to its normal production rate. Therefore, import and export will be delayed. Hence, lowering the market down.

How can we contribute?

Whenever the lockdown ends and industries reopens, one can always promote and help Indian economy-
· By avoiding- buying and promoting foreign products.
· By spreading the awareness and importance of Indian textile industry.

These two points are the dominant ways by which we, the people of India can help the textile sector to improve. It will help the financial status of the country to grow in a better way.

Together, we can make a difference!
