Never Disparaging

There was a time when people found societal status more important. The financial background was regarded off as highly important for most people until the Coronavirus spread across the globe like a rocket, leaving people to beg for fresh air and germ free environment. Respect then began to be given to people who took precautions, gave importance to sanitization and lived healthier. Respect is now given to nurses who were earlier assumed to be less important to the healthcare system.

Life changed 360 degrees for everyone and started being never disparaging. The current pandemic has invoked a philosophy in each one of us never to treat anyone with disparagement or arrogance. Nicherin Daishonin once said,” … treating others with respect is everything we do, not just by practicing shakabuku, the correct way for humans beings to behave.”

Even before I came across these lines in a book, I was taught by my parents and elders in the family that ‘what you sow, is what you reap’… Karma is a never ending cycle of life; we receive what we give to others around us. This just uncomplicated life one thread by thread.
