The impact of unnecessary hoarding during lockdown

During the period of this lockdown, people have been stocking up on things in order to survive for three to four months. However, hoarding is likely to create problems not only for the hoarders but also for those from the low income group. People do not realize that unnecessary stockpiling of products will lead to a lack of supply of the essential products in the market. If this continues, it will make suppliers take advantage of the situation and in turn, will increase the price of the products. This way, the normal demand and supply of the market is getting disturbed and will affect the economy by giving birth to recession and artificial inflation.
