Ph.D. Program Computer Science and Engineering is a challenging one and focus on core and interdisciplinary research areas in Computer Science and Engineering. Research Degree is an essential qualification for teaching and research in higher educational institutions. Research in core computer science areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Complex algorithms, computational intelligence, security and network protocols, software defined networks etc are the hot core area where industries need solution to their product development and new problems and hence PhD in Computer Engineering is a passport to the research in academia and industries. It also focusses on the research aspects of the hardware implementation, VLSI and Embedded Design, IoT.

The Ph.D. Programme in Computer Science and Engineering involve interdisciplinary research in addition to core areas, including additive manufacturing, Computer Vision, Cyber Physical System, big data analysis, medical Imaging, Natural Language Processing, Robotics Process Automation, Anti-drone, Underwater acoustic communication, Nanotechnology, simulation and modelling, optimization, smart grids, smart city system, environmental engineering, and urban engineering.
