An alumnus of the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad with an industry experience spread across seven years, Akash Ray is a passionate storyteller with a keen interest in animation, motion graphics, film and visual design.
He has had the pleasure of working with two of the biggest entertainment media giants – Disney and Warner Bros Discovery, having produced and animated on-air channel content for Cartoon Network India, Cartoon Network Pakistan, Pogo and Hungama. Akash has collaborated with e-commerce company Nykaa and fashion brands Jack & Jones, Vero Moda and ONLY in the capacity of visual designer and video content producer respectively. Being an avid lover of graphic narratives, he has illustrated for Champak Children’s magazine under Delhi Press and storyboarded for many indie studios.
Post an enriching experience as a visiting faculty at MRID, MSU Baroda, he decided to foray into design academics with the intention of helping students bridge the gap between academia and the industry. |
