Dr. Sonam Mansukhani, has served as the Deputy Director at the Centre for Distance Education and Virtual Learning, and former Assistant Dean, School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) Jain (Deemed-to-be University), Bengaluru has served the academia for 28 years. She taught Sociology and Management Studies at Kishinchand Chellaram College, Mumbai for twenty years. She was also the coordinator for B.M.M. (Bachelor of Mass Media) in the same institution. For three and a half years, she worked as Associate Professor and Chair, Summer Immersion Program at FLAME University, Pune. She has also taken workshops in Public Speaking and Debating Skills at Harvard Model United Nations. She is the recipient of the Award for Teaching Excellence by the Indus Foundation, Indo-American Summit, 2016 and for Outstanding Contribution to Education (for Excellence in Education, Leadership, and Teaching) by World Education Congress, 2019-20. She has presented papers at several conferences and has many publications to her credit. She was one of the keynote speakers at the World Education Congress, 2018 and 2019. She also provided consultancy services to Xavier Institute of Social Research & Action for a project on ‘Denotified Tribes in Mumbai’. She created a ‘liberal’ space at Anant National University, Ahmedabad by bringing a multidisciplinary approach to the fields of architecture and design.
