Profile
Shatabhisha Ray is presently an Assistant Professor of Visual Communication,UID, KU. She is a 2011 graduate(Gold Medalist) and 2013 post graduate from Visva Bharati University Shantiniketan,Kala Bhavana. She had the honor of participating in Kochi Muziris Biennale 2012-13 as an emerging artist. She holds 9 years of Design Education experience and has been an Art Practitioner over a decade. She has been awarded for “outstanding dedication in teaching” by Rochester Institute Of Technology,New York. She has mentored students wining Inlaks Foundation Fellowship for a fully funded M.Des in Goldsmiths, University of London, and students wining a global 2nd position in a sustainability design competetion bt UN and Coventry University. Her forte is in developing design thinking abilities through sensorial and emotive processes in students.
