Students of Interior Design – semester 6 met Mr. Subodh Kerkar for an interactive talk and a curated exhibition visit to the Museum of Goa. He spoke about the importance of Contemporary Art in Design education which was insightful for the students.
Mr. Kerkar is Founding Director of Museum of Goa and a Busan Biennale Awardee painter, sculptor and installation artist.
The museum is a laboratory of ideas where all art forms are in constant dialogue with each other, with a plethora of indigenous and eccentric materials. Engaging with Art that encapsulated the essence of themes such as Goan Portuguese history, the ocean, tactility, the experience gave perception to culturally rooted art and stimulated the students to think
