From January 22nd to 24th, 2024, Unitedworld Institute of Design (UID) at Karnavati University made history by hosting the first-ever Ahmedabad chapter of the Global Game Jam® (GGJ®) in Gujarat. The event, which is renowned as the world’s largest 48-hour game creation marathon, commenced at 4:00 PM on January 22nd and concluded at 4:00 PM on January 24th, drawing game enthusiasts and developers from across the region.
The Institute’s vibrant campus transformed into a hub of creativity and collaboration as participants immersed themselves in the intense yet exhilarating challenge of designing and developing games within the tight 48-hour timeframe. The event provided an unprecedented platform for local game developers to connect, collaborate, and learn from each other.
