The Covid-19 pandemic has been a game changer in the year 2020. The advent of Pandemic has given rise to the Corona Phobia. The Pandemic resulted into lockdown and lockdown resulted into recession. The recession further led to job cuts, negative income and other similar consequences. It seems to be a live prison first time in the human history. The prisoners have voluntary prisoned themselves into their respective homes. The phobia of Corona has paused the world. All the important sectors i.e. Agriculture, Manufacturing and Tertiary seems to be stagnated. The phobia has led to Pandemic Fatigue.
The Pandemic Fatigue is the result of frustration due to self-imprisonment done during COVID 19. The fatigue has resulted into unnecessary stress and depression. People feel suppressed within their homes. People want to venture out in open. As per the Nielsen report, earlier 94 percent people had pandemic fear, however post lockdown, its 46 percent only. There is greater amount of acceptance of COVID 19 amongst the masses. The stress arising due to pandemic has resulted into lower immunity amongst the masses. Therefore, the market is full of immunity boosters nowadays.
Immunity boosters are the new way of living life. People are fed up of taking precautionary measures of social distancing and wearing masks. This has led to the emergence of a new market that is full of products, known as Immunity Boosters. In Gujarat, people are selling Immunity Khakhras, that contains citric acid and other ingredients leading to better immunity. The famous Bengali sweet, Sondesh is also available, loaded with special immunity boosters. People have started adopting and practicing age old method of consuming Turmeric Milk. The audience have realised the importance of daily exercise in form of walking, running and swimming. Consumers are more inclined towards the organic food, in the form of vegetable, fruits, cereals and pulses. The spending on grocery has increased considerably. Several shopkeepers have changed the business to Grocery store and Dairy products, due to significant rise in consumption. Old aged people, especially senior citizens have become more cautious towards the regular medical check-up. The sale of immunity tablets is all time high. The Government of India has clearly stated that any kind of misinformation will be dealt with strictness.
Emotionally people are becoming more vulnerable towards COVID 19. Ayurvedic medicine manufacturers have also claimed to have immunity boosters. The trials for the COVID 19 vaccine are on and therefore it is important to have patience. The Government has tried to give maximum support, both financially and emotionally to the people of India. It is important to be aware of our duties with respect to COVID 19 Pandemic. The figures of Corona infected patients and death toll has been continuously rising. It has been a challenge for most of the Governments in the world to contain the risk. It is important to follow the guidelines issued by the authorities from time to time. Immunity boosters will be useful only if take good care of our own health. It is imperative to have a dedicated slot for exercise and other necessities of a healthy lifestyle. If we try to avoid sedentary and unhealthy life style of past and make necessary changes in the food habits, we can win the race against Pandemic. It is also necessary to have a strong will power and positive attitude towards life. It is difficult to be positive due to unemployment, financial crisis and economic impediments. However, spirituality and yoga can help to win the race in the long run.
