Integrated B.S. + M.S. in Cyber Security: The ultimate cyber security education

Cybersecurity is one of the most pivotal and rapidly growing fields in today’s world. With the increasing reliance on technology and the internet, cyber threats have become more frequent and sophisticated, posing a significant challenge to businesses, governments, and individuals. Thus, the surge in demand for cybersecurity experts has been unprecedented, and pursuing a profession in this field presents a plethora of lucrative job opportunities and the potential for high earnings.

Keeping this in mind, Karnavati University has come up with a well-structured 5 years integrated course in Cyber Security to meet the growing professional demands. Students who pursue this program will earn both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree, which will prepare them for a rewarding career in the field of cybersecurity.

What do we offer?

We offer an Integrated B.S. + M.S. in Cyber Security as a five-year program that combines undergraduate and postgraduate studies in cybersecurity. This program offers an “all-encompassing educational plan” that covers all the aspects of cybersecurity, from basic principles to advanced concepts. This ensures that graduates are well-equipped to tackle complex security challenges in their professional careers. It provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental principles, theories, and practices of cybersecurity, as well as advanced knowledge and skills in specific areas of the field. It is an excellent opportunity for students who are passionate about technology and security to build a career in this rapidly growing field.
This program is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in the principles of cybersecurity, as well as advanced knowledge and skills to tackle complex security challenges. Our program is planned to equip students with a broad range of skills and knowledge in cybersecurity, including information security management, risk management, network security, data protection, cryptography, digital forensics, and ethical hacking. Students will learn how to analyze and assess cybersecurity risks, develop and implement security strategies, design and maintain secure systems, and investigate and respond to cyber incidents.

Our curriculum focuses on a broad range of topics of Cyber Security including:

  1. Introduction to Cybersecurity: This course provides an overview of the fundamental principles of cybersecurity, including risk management, cryptography, and security architecture.
  2. Information Security Management: Students will learn about the principles and practices of information security management, including risk assessment, security policies, procedures, regulations, and compliance frameworks.
  3. Network Security: It will cover the principles and practices of network security, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and virtual private networks.
  4. Cybercrime Investigation and Forensics: It covers the investigation and forensic analysis of cybercrime, including the collection and preservation of digital evidence.
  5. Cryptography and Secure Communications: This course covers the principles and practices of cryptography and secure communications, including encryption, decryption, and digital signatures.
  6. Ethical Hacking and Penetration Testing: Includes the principles and practices of ethical hacking and penetration testing, including vulnerability assessment and exploitation.

Integrated B.S. + M.S. in Cyber Security (5 yrs) Admission Requirements:

To be eligible for the Integrated B.S. + M.S. in cybersecurity program, students must have a high school, diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 50%. They must also have completed coursework in mathematics, science, and computer science. In addition, students will appear for KUAT.

  • End Term Exam- The final exam comprises of written paper for theory courses and an external jury for practical courses.
