The United World School of Business (UWSB) hosted a vibrant and enriching business fest on February 28th, 2024, uniting students and faculty in a celebration of creativity, entrepreneurship, and teamwork. The event, aimed at honing essential skills of undergraduate students, commenced at 9:30 am with an electrifying opening ceremony in the auditorium, graced by the Senior Dean of UWSB, esteemed faculty members and enthusiastic students.
The festivities commenced with a captivating skit performed by the UWSB core team and volunteers, setting the stage for an engaging day ahead. A spirited flash mob further elevated the energy, marking the commencement of the event on a high note.
The fest featured five main events, each designed to foster different aspects of business acumen and innovation:
- Blab it Out – A riveting public speaking activity aimed at refining communication skills and confidence.
- Sketch it Out – A logo designing competition, challenging participants to showcase their creativity and branding prowess.
- Bleeding Edge – An enlightening start-up talk providing insights into the world of entrepreneurship and cutting-edge business ideas.
- Tehkikat – A stimulating case study competition testing participants’ analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Political Dangal – A thought-provoking debate on contemporary political issues, encouraging critical thinking and persuasive communication.
In addition to these key events, attendees enjoyed a variety of stalls and activities, including tug of war and reel making. The stalls offered a diverse range of refreshments and clothing, with a special attraction being the interactive photo booth.
The UWSB Business Fest succeeded in fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and skill-building, leaving participants inspired and empowered to embark on their entrepreneurial journeys.
