visit to TOI Printing Press for Mass Comm Students

The objective of this very visit was to give students an exposure of the function of the printing press, the war like situation at news room and to understand the importance of deadlines and efficient time management. The students left the campus after their classes and reached the press at 4PM.The printing press is situated in Vejalpur area of Ahmedabad. Students were received by the executive and a formal interaction session was organized for the students. Then the editor gave a presentation on the printing press. Overall, through this knowledge enriching educational visit students learned the importance of coordination, timeliness and problem-solving skills of a newspaper apart from technical knowledge of a printing press.
