Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)

About Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Karnavati University has been constituted on 17th August 2021 in compliance to the UGC’s guideline and based on recommendation of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The quality enhancement process, being a continuous process, the IQAC has become an essential part of the university education system and works towards realization of the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance. The primary objective of IQAC is to ensure implementation of quality initiatives of the university at all level and conducting continuous and periodic reviews and audits so as to attain academic excellence.

“To promote quality culture and consciousness as the primary characteristic of Karnavati University through collaboration, internationalization and institutionalization of best and unique practices with stakeholder supports”.

Goals of IQAC

To The primary goals of IQAC are

  • To promote quality culture at the university/schools/departments level
  • To plan, execute, monitor and control the Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Enhancement (QE) activities of the University
  • To channelize and systematize the effort to pull the university in the path of academic excellence
  • To act as a driving force for ushering in quality by working out intervention strategies to remove deficiencies and enhance quality
Functions of IQAC

The functions of IQAC are

  • To initiate, monitor, evaluate and report on relevant measures to upgrade the quality of teaching, learning, evaluation and research initiatives in the university
  • To develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of the university
  • To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices
  • To promote quality culture and consciousness as the primary characteristic of Karnavati University through collaboration, internationalization and institutionalization of best and unique practices
  • To conduct internal meetings on IQAC activities of the schools and departments
  • To plan, schedule and conduct internal and external audits and submit the report
  • To develop and apply of quality benchmarks/parameters for the various academic and administrative activities of the University
  • To facilitate the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive for quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process
  • To guide the schools and departments on the system of feedback and responses from students, parents, employers and other stakeholders on quality related institutional processes such as revision of curriculum and syllabus, value added programmes, internships etc.,
  • To disseminate of information on the various quality parameters of higher education accreditations processes such as NAAC and NIRF etc.,
  • To organize inter and intra University workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles
  • To document the various programmes/activities of the University, leading to quality improvement
  • To act as a nodal agency of the University for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of good practices
  • To support university ERP Team for the development and maintenance of Institutional database for the purpose of maintaining/enhancing the institutional quality
  • To prepare the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) of the University based on the quality parameters/assessment criteria developed by the relevant quality assurance body such as NAAC, NIRF in the prescribed format
  • To interact with School/Department level Team for the pre and post accreditation quality assessment, sustenance and enhancement endeavors
  • To Coordinate with 0/o of Vice Chancellor and 0/o Registrar for preparing and submission of various reports for statutory councils, government departments, UGC etc., in a timely manner.
