UIFM Programme Structure

The Unitedworld Institute of Films & Media (UIFM) offers a comprehensive B.Sc in Film Making program designed to immerse students in the art and craft of film production from inception to completion. The curriculum begins with foundational courses in film theory, visual storytelling, and technical aspects of film production such as sound and lighting. As students progress, they delve into more advanced topics including screenwriting, directing, cinematography, and editing. Specialized courses explore areas like documentary filmmaking, episodic storytelling, and emerging technologies such as virtual reality.
In the later stages of the program, students choose a specialization to hone their skills in a specific area of interest, complemented by hands-on experiences on actual film sets under the guidance of esteemed faculty. Collaborative projects and portfolio development are integral, culminating in a capstone project where students produce a significant original work.
