Overview

The Unitedworld School of Law’s Centre of Post-Graduate Legal Studies (CPGLS) offers a One-Year LL.M. Degree Programme, supported by a highly experienced and specialized faculty for both Masters and PhD levels. Boasting a well-stocked library with extensive print and online resources, ICT-enabled facilities, and state-of-the-art infrastructure, CPGLS provides an excellent environment for learning and research. Designed by a committee of senior professors in accordance with UGC guidelines, the LL.M. programme spans two semesters and admits 40 students annually, focusing on advanced, interdisciplinary legal education and research with a commitment to transnational and comparative law.

Career Path

LL.M. graduates have diverse career opportunities, ranging from legal practice in specialized fields and academia to roles in international organizations, government policy, the corporate sector, and compliance. They can also pursue careers in legal publishing, alternative dispute resolution (ADR), entrepreneurship, and consulting, leveraging their advanced legal knowledge and specialization to enhance their career prospects and impact various sectors.

Eligibility

Three or Five Year LL.B Degree from any Indian or Foreign University recognized by the UGC with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade [45% for SC/ST Candidates]. Candidates who have appeared for the final year LL.B examination may also apply.

Admission

Admissions are determined by merit, evaluated through entrance exams (CLAT/ LSAT/ KU-LAT) followed by a personal interview. Candidates not taking CLAT or LSAT must sit for the Karnavati University – Law Aptitude Test (KU-LAT), a 100-question objective test covering various legal subjects and aptitudes over two hours. Applicants must submit a Statement of Purpose and Curriculum Vitae prior to the interview.

Personal Interview – 30% Weightage
