In order to make juniors feel more comfortable in this environment, we had planned various competitions for them. This competition proved to be an interactive event with juniors. The event was organized by UWSB Core Body under the guidance of Dr. Mansi Tiwari (Associate Professor) UWSB. We had arranged 3 competitions-
- Sharks @UWSB
- Rupantaran- Nukala Natak
- Varad Samvaad- Round-the-table
The opening ceremony was done by Prof. Salim Shamsher dean of UWSB. The whole event was directed & controlled by Dr.Mansi Tiwari, Associate Professor UWSB in coordination with the Student core body UWSB executed the event in true & high spirit.
The participants received a participation certificate and the first 3 prizes received cash prizes and merit certificates.
COMPETITION 1 SHARKS@UWSB
In this competition, participants formed groups of their choice and they came up with unique and new business ideas. Some of them came up with new start-up ideas and some of them presented existing brands. They showcased their ideas in the form of PowerPoint presentations. They were supposed to pitch the ideas within 5 minutes and then they had to answer to the Q and A round of judges. They were judged on various criteria like- competitive analysis, target audience, market potential, and revenue model. The competition was held at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Convention Centre, North Extension Campus, Karnavati University from 10a.m – 1p.m
There were 20 groups in this competition. The judges for this competition were Dr. Tushar Panigrahi (Associate Professor, UWSB) & Dr. Swati Gupta (Associate Professor, UWSB). The sudents coordinating for the competition were Mr. Dev Shah (Sem V), Mr.Aryan (Sem III).There were 3 prizes given to winning students. The cash prizes were-
- 1st Position -Undo AI – Umesh Odedra & Akash Kumar Raj
- 2nd Position –Planticare- Neel Chawla, Jatin Tejwani & Priyanshu Purswani
- 3rd Position-Adore You- Lakshita Rathod, Sadiksha Agrawal, Akshat Jain & Yesha Patel
COMPETITION 2 RUPANATARAN-NUKKAD NATAK
In this competition participants formed groups of their choice and were offered various topics like- Child Abuse, Bullying, Rape, Toxic Feminism, and Unemployment due to AI. They had to perform a small skit of 10-12 minutes. They were judged on the basis of their content deliver as per the topic. The competition was held at North Extension Campus Ground, North Extension Campus, Karnavati University from 10a.m-1p.m
The judges for this competition were Dr. Mansi Tiwari (Associate Professor, UWSB) and Mr. Yash Vaghela ( Assistant Registrar, UWSB). The student coordinator for the event was Ms.Mohicka (V sem). The cash prizes was given to the winning team of Rs.1000/- along with certificates.
1st Position – Lakshita Rathod,Swayam Sahijwani, Pratham Trivedi, Meet Palrecha, Akshat Jain, Dev Nagdevani, Reet Uppal, Prapti Patel & Yash Kotak.
COMPETITION 3 VAAD SAMVAAD- ROUND THE TABLE
In this competition participants formed groups of their choice and were offered various topics of current affairs. They were judged on various criteria like- delivery of content, teamwork, rebuttal. There were 12 groups participating in this competition. The competition was divided into 3 rounds. The competition was held at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Convention Centre, North Extension Campus, Karnavati University from 2p.m-4p.m
The judges for this competition were Dr Mansi Tiwari (Associate Professor, UWSB) and Dr. Mathew John (Associate Professor, UWSB).The student coordinators for the event were Mr.Vedant (Sem V) & Ms. Shivangi (Sem III).There were 3 prizes given to students. The cash prizes along with certificates to the winning teams –
- 1st Position – Khushi Lodhiya, Goyna, Srinija Nekkanti & Sachin Parekh
- 2nd Position – Arnav Bhargava, Kartik Soni, Yash Kotak,Vikas Goyal & Prashant Sharma
- 3rd Position- Diya Kachhadiya & Aakriti Agarwal
