As a part of “Interior Design Project” for Hospitality Project (Restaurant) B.Des students of Interior Design, were given a 150 year old city house in Desai-ni-Pol, Khadia, Ahmadabad -the first Heritage City by UNESCO- as a site, thus by, to understand and respect the ambiance of the vernacular architecture and interior of the pol house and conceptualize the space for a Cafe-Bistro or Fine Dining space. The pedagogy here helps the student to evaluate the elegance of Heritage and blend the modern needs with the same. Professor Kishori Dalwadi helped in organizing this visit successfully along with Professor Dhruvit Patel accompanied for mentoring students from UID.
