A distinguished public lecture on ‘Career in Legal Academia’ was delivered by Ms. Aafreen Collaco, Research Associate, Bennett University on 5th October at Unitedworld School of Law. It was an interactive session where Ms. Collaco explained how law students can also consider legal academia as a career option. She stressed on planning, networking, researching, and teaching as crucial skills for success in academia. She clarified and dismissed the myths related to a career in academia and strongly recommended students who wished to join academia to work on it since day 1 rather than considering it as a side option. This lecture was followed by another interactive session with final year students who presented their working research papers for her feedback.
