EDGE 2022 is redefining boundaries.

EDGE is the annual showcase of the graduating students from the School of Fashion Design at UID, of those at the precipice between learning & practice. This event is to celebrate & bring to light, their abilities in corresponding domains & the difference that they aspire to make as a young designer. Quite literally, showing off their own ‘edge’ & embarking upon their independent creative careers. This is where every design graduate emerges into their chosen professional space. Edge marks the end of one journey & the beginning of another as a student blossoms into a designer. The show is a small effort to promote inclusivity, including different body types & skin tones and celebrating diversity.

1. SHWET- Pure, fresh and calm, celebrating white in all its entirety & embracing all its hues, for the modern global woman.
2. EARTHLING- From the Valley of flowers to the Tulip gardens of Kashmir, let’s take a ride with these raw, earthy pieces with an essence of the earth in the collection, Earthling.

3. SCRIBBLES & SPLASHES- What can be more adorable than the next sequence? These tiny tots in their cute, fun garments ready to go about their business- whether it is attending a friend’s birthday party or just making a mess with their hands in paint.

4. NEELAMBARI- Reminiscent of mosaics from Jaipur to Morocco & beyond, presenting a patchwork of tessellated prints, geometrics, florals & solids that is Neelambari.

5. EUPHORIA- Some things just don’t fit in a box & that is the fun of it. So, loosen up, give yourself a little shake and enjoy these quirky pieces as they sashay down the ramp.

6. TWILIGHT- Ready to step out for a brunch or a cocktail? These versatile pieces, in the collection Twilight, add a little glamour & fun to your wardrobe.

AWARDS As we celebrate the amazing work of all students, we also recognize & honour the excellence achieved by a select few. The upcoming awards celebrate the work of the students who went that extra mile.
