The students of Semester 5 were given an opportunity to have an Insight on the functioning of the Mall in Ahmedabad. The expert handled a team of 400 employees and shared his experience in real time retailing conducted in Nexus Ahmedabad with the students. The session started at 10.30 am and was completed at 12.10 Pm

The students were made aware about the organized and unorganized retail market and the benefits of opening a mall. They were given a detailed explanation about the operational functions of the mall and how to handle situations of emergency with some examples that the expert had faced. They were also briefed about the various department in the mall and also how do retailers judge the customer preference and choice in a mall. The students were made aware about the importance of space management in the mall and the reasons and methods of placing goods and stores in strategic locations resulting to better sales. The expert also gave answers to the questions asked by the students and enhanced the knowledge of mall management.
