On February 9, 2024, Karnavati University’s United World School of Business (UWSB) organized a field visit to The Serenity Trust Library & Botanical Garden in Koteshwar, supervised by Dr. Sudarshana Sharma. The 25 students, accompanied by faculty, explored various facets of the garden, including a briefing by wildlife criminal lawyer Mr. Manish Vaidya (advisor) and his co-worker Shreyas Bhavsar. The garden showcased over 800 plant species, a butterfly garden, organic farm, and diverse wildlife. Students engaged in bird spotting, a jungle trail, and a tree and plant knowledge trail, learning about flora and fauna. The students were treated to an engaging auditorium session, delving into the intricate life cycle of butterflies, complemented by insights from Mr. Manish Vaidya on Gujarat’s bird reserves. The day concluded with a group photograph, capturing the shared moments of discovery and camaraderie. Overall, this field visit not only enriched the students’ understanding of botanical studies but also ignited a passion for environmental conservation, making it a truly transformative experience.
