Exploring the versatility of metal, a material traditionally bound by its conventional size and shape,
the workshop’s objective was to reevaluate the standard dimensions and introduce a conceptual framework for a knockdown and flat-pack system in Interior elements. Emphasizing the pivotal role of meticulous detailing and innovative assembly techniques emerged as a key aspect of working with metal. Additionally, the exploration of the concept of modularity resulted in a seamless joining and dismantling of interior elements such as; a shoe rack for kindergarten, a Library stand-alone bookshelf, a side table, a vertical shelving unit, a bracket lamp, and a pedestal lamp to name a few. This ensures effortless assembly and disassembly by identifying various segments of parts that collectively form the integrated product.
Workshop HOD Paras Parmar, HOD Kishori Dalwadi, and Assistant Professor Geeta Chowdhary conducted the workshop with the students of semester 4, Interior Design Department.
