Unitedworld School of Law organised a one day workshop on causation of crime, crime prevention and security mechanisms, which was conducted by Dr. George Richards Ph.D., Fullbright Specialist, US, Department of Criminology, Rakshashakti University, Associate Professor in the Criminal Justice, Anthropology and Forensic Science Department, Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, USA. During the workshop, Dr. Richards discussed theories of causation of crimes, related these theories with actual causation of crimes through explaining praxism. He then discussed different crime prevention mechanisms as well. The workshop was attended by students of law and it was extremely beneficial for students learning about criminal laws, human rights, victims rights etc. Prof. (Dr.) Debarati Halder was the convener of the workshop who introduced Dr. Richards to the audience. He was felicitated with a memento by Prof. (Dr) Saroj Bohra, HOD, UWSL and was welcomed with a flower bouquet by Dr. Akanksha Singh, Director- Administration, UWSL. Mr. Shrut Brahmbhatt, Assistant Professor, UWSL offered a vote of thanks.
