The students of Fashion Design Foundation (UG2) attended a special workshop on age-old hand-painted fabric technique popularly known as ‘Mata ni Pachedi’ as a part of their class of Design and Culture study conducted by Assistant Director Prof. Khushboo Bharti and Associate Professor Manish Patel.
The students had a hands-on exercise and made their own sample under the observation of the master craftsman Vishal Jyantibhai Chitara. Learning of such crafts is very essential for students of fashion design and so is the knowledge of the culture associated with the crafts. Students gained some vital inputs from their faculties at UID.
