As part of the Mumbai academic tour, students of Interior and furniture design, semester 06, visited Mahindra Group’s ‘The Museum of Living History’, at Mahindra Towers, Worli, Mumbai. It was planned with the key focus to provide students exposure to a futuristic exhibition design of global standards, including artificial intelligence, digital interactive design, parametric displays, kinetic skylight structure, Hi-end finishes, material and a brilliant translation of concept to execution.
The museum is designed to be a continuum to the future, connecting the historic richness of the last 75 years of Mahindra to its evolving present and the undiscovered future. The museum, conceptualized by design and creative consultant, Elsie Nanji, and ‘experience’ designer, Harsh Manrao, houses specially commissioned art pieces that tell the story of Mahindra’s core values and principles, its various businesses, rich history, and its outlook to the future.
Shubha Shetty, brand manager at Mahindra Group gave us a talk and a curated walk explaining how the exhibition was conceptualized to tell the stories of its employees.
