The centre for research on Intellectual Property Rights (CRIPR), Unitedworld School of Law, has organised a research workshop titled “Geographical Indications of Goods in India: Insights from socio-legal study” on 20th March 2023.
The Guest of Honour for the workshop was Mr. Anil Pandey who is currently acting as Director and Sr. Counsellor and Head Intellectual Property Facilitation Centre, Ahmedabad, Confederation Indian Industry (CII), Government of India. Mr. Pandey in his address shared the ongoing research projects of CII and initiatives of Gujarat Government to promote and protect geographical Indication in  Gujarat.
Ms. Hetvi Trivedi was the expert speaker who conducted the workshop. She is a senior training consultant at World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). She has shared her research on socio economic implications of geographical indication laws.
